We made this for the moment every camper knows. The jerry can's getting light, the creek's right there, and nobody wants to be the one who gets the family crook. Clear isn't clean, and a straw only helps one person. That's why BushWard is a 6 litre bag you fill once, hang up, and walk away from.

The BushWard Team
  • 6 litre roll top bag with hanging strap
  • 80 cm hose with pinch clamp
  • 0.1 micron filter that doubles as a drinking straw
  • Carry bag
  • Everything rolls up small enough for the glovebox.

Free shipping Australia wide on every order.

Orders are processed in 2 to 3 business days, then delivered in 3 to 5 business days. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your BushWard order ships.

Not happy? Take it camping, and if it's not for you, send it back within 90 days of delivery for a full refund.

Fill the bag at the creek and roll the top shut. Hang it off the awning, roof rack, tailgate or a branch. Open the clamp and gravity pushes the water through the filter into your bottle or billy. No pumping, no squeezing, no tablets. The full 6 litres runs through in about 10 to 15 minutes, so it's done while you set up camp.

Carried Water Runs Out. A Creek Is A Refill.

Every trip runs on the same countdown. Day one, the jerry cans are full and nobody thinks about water. By day three you're washing up with a cupful, eyeing the last can and working out how far it is to the nearest tap. So you pack up early, or you never leave the caravan park, pitched shoulder to shoulder like it's a Big W carpark.

BushWard flips that. Carry the filter, not the water. Fill the bag at the creek beside camp, hang it up, and the quiet spot you found is yours for as long as you want it.

Why One Bag Beats Straws And Tablets

A straw filter is one person kneeling at the creek. Tablets mean half an hour of waiting for water that tastes like the pool. BushWard does the whole camp in one fill, hands free.

    • “We kept booking caravan parks because, with the kids, knowing there’d be water made things easier. But I was getting sick of listening to someone’s generator all evening. Having this has made us more comfortable trying quieter spots near a creek. The kids can go exploring and we can actually hear each other talk. That’s what we wanted from camping in the first place.”

      - Leanne Carter

    • “Every trip I’d squeeze another jerry can into the ute, just in case. Then there’d be no room for something the kids wanted to bring. We still take water with us, but being able to filter more along the way takes some of the worry out of staying an extra night. Makes packing a fair bit easier too.”

      - Daniel Hughes

    • “My wife talked me into this. I reckoned it’d be another camping gadget we’d use once and forget about. But you just fill the bag, hang it up and leave it while you sort out camp. Much easier than standing there pumping water for the two of us. She’s already reminded me twice that it was her idea.”

      - Greg Wilson

Most Creeks Look Clean. That's The Problem.

What makes campers crook is invisible: cattle upstream, a dead roo around the bend, an untreated campground tap. The water looks perfect, the kids are thirsty, and you're the one deciding whether it's safe.

BushWard's 0.1 micron filter does the job your eyes can't. So when they hold out their bottles, you fill them without a second thought, and the only thing anyone remembers about the trip is the trip.

        FAQ

        Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. It's made for fresh water: creeks, rivers, dams, lakes, rain tanks and untreated campground taps. It's not for salt water, chemical runoff or water with a blue green algae warning.

The 0.1 micron hollow fibre filter is a physical barrier for bacteria and parasites like Giardia and Crypto. Clear water isn't always clean water, so the filter does the job your eyes can't. It does not remove viruses, chemicals or salt.

No. If it can hang, it works. A 4WD awning, roof rack, caravan rail, tailgate, shower rail or a low gum branch all do the job, so you can set it up wherever you've parked.

The full 6 litre bag runs through in about 10 to 15 minutes, so it's done while you set up camp. One filter lasts up to 5,000 litres, more than 800 full bags, and a spare filter 2 pack is in the cart.

Take enough for the drive and any dry stretches. BushWard means you top up at every creek instead of rationing what's in the tray, so you can carry less and stay longer.

Take it on your next camping trip. If it's not for you, send it back within 90 days of delivery for a full refund.

Plenty of us have, right up until the trip it goes wrong. Giardia can take a week or two to show up, so most people never link it back to the creek they drank from. And when it does hit, kids tend to feel it the worst. BushWard takes the guesswork out of it.

One kit covers a family's drinking water, with a fill in the morning and one in the arvo. If you cook and wash up with filtered water too, or camp with another family, two kits means one is always running while the other's being filled.

        • The kids are already asking to go back

“We usually stick to places with a tap because of the kids. Took this along when we tried a quieter spot beside a creek. It was so nice having a weekend without someone else’s music in the background. The kids are already asking when we’re going back.”

          Melissa Turner

        • Earned its spot in the ute

“I’m fussy about what goes in the ute. You run out of room soon enough. This packs away small and actually gets used. We still carry backup water, but having another way to refill makes an extra night out a bit easier to organise. Nice having that option.”

          Brett Collins

        • Less fiddling than I expected

“Expected a bit more fiddling about, to be honest. Filled the bag, hung it off the awning and left it running while we unpacked. Nothing to pump or squeeze. I’ve bought plenty of camping gear that ends up staying home. This one comes along.”

          Andrew Morgan

        • One less job at dinner time

“Our little squeeze filter was fine when it was just me and my husband. With two kids as well, doing everyone’s water got old pretty quickly. Now I hang the bag up and get on with dinner. Such a relief to have one less job to stand around doing.”

          Karen Mitchell

        • Not much to it, really

“My daughter bought this for our camping trips. Had to get her to show me the first time, but there’s really not much to it once you’ve done it. Hangs beside the caravan and packs away neatly afterwards. My wife’s usually the first one reminding me to pack it.”

          Peter Lawson

        • Set it up myself

“I normally leave the camping gear to my partner. Wanted to see if I could manage this without asking him. Had it hanging up while he was still sorting the tent. I was quite pleased with myself, actually. Easy enough once you’ve done it once.”
